Resolution Schme-solution

I just had an awesome day out with the family. Dimsum with the parents and sisters in the morning, then Bowling and grocery shopping for Aimi. She's going back tomorrow. It will been a bit weird to be waving from the other side this time. Definitely a wake up call - I'm not going back to UK. I miss it already. Anyways, then coffeezone with the Poojas - Aimi's treat (i know... wow! hahahah).

Oh, did I mention... Nadi's back??? Hehehe :D I still have no idea what i'm going to do for new year's. Probably just sleep through it. I'm not one for a new year. I've only just settled with 2008. I'll be turning 23 in 11 days. Oh gosh. When asked what I want for my birthday... I go absolutely blank. I've no wishlist really. Oh, maybe a WII and rockband. Hahaha.

Speaking of new year's and my birthday.... Here's my tradition. (1) Make new year's resolution before 01st of January ends, then (2) if by 9th January I have not succesfully carry out my resolution, restart on this date. But on most occasion, I hardly ever start it. Hahaha. So let my first new year's resolution be: To successfully carry out ANY resolution... MUST!

I have to go back to MOE tomorrow. I've already received my letters BUT banyak mistakesss. So i've to go back there and get it fixed before I report to others.

Bah, I'm off to bed. I think we're going for massage tomorrow, my back hurts!! Good night and incase I skip blogging until next year:

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!

Hope you all had a wonderful 2008, and hope that 2009 is more awesome and brings lots of joy and happiness to all of you. I know I'm in for a ride. Wish me luck!! :)

Productive day

People who call up Radio stations crack me up. Don't get me wrong. Props for them to be able to have the courage to call, but the name they go by REALLY crack me up. Seriously! For example: *insertnameofcar*-girl. Hahaha.

Anyhoo....

... first day of no-amah wasn't so bad. Well, technically yesterday was our first day, but we were hardly home. I woke up to find that my mom already did laundry (and it was only 9.30am!). What's left was to clean up the house. I pretty much just unpacked my boxes (finally) .. and yes, ALL of it. I have so much stuff, it's unbelievable at how much I've gathered just over a year. I've finally put away all my files/notes. Goodbye school years.

I've also reported to MOE. The Cikgu told me to just wait for them to call, for me to pick up a letter from them - to be used for job applications. She mentioned that I should then apply to teach Sekolah menengah2 (errr??). I have no idea what's to become of me. But I shall go with the flowww.

Hakeem was kind enough to dangankan me go everywhere. I think this is the first time (in a longggg time) we get to go out and spend alone time after soooo long. Proper day out, which was pretty much about filling up my face with food. Hahaha.

I miss a lot of people today. I miss them Poojas in UK. I miss the Poojas in Aussie. I miss my MD friends and can't wait to meet them as soon as everyone's not busy. I miss the Miskin Posse (yes Umie, that includes you :).

Most of all though, I miss being a kid and being so carefree *sigh*. Turning 23 in 18 days. I might still be young, but the transition towards working life makes me feel old.

Pictures longgg overdue. From when Umie visited us in Cardiff :)

Twilight

I've just watched 'Twilight' with the Poojas (Finally!).. and I was right, I was disappointed. Lets see... Here's mostly why:

1. There was no mention of Edward's lullaby for Bella (it was the one he played on the piano in his house). This was important!

2. The whole glowing under the sunlight was worst than awful. It was supposed to be more exaggerated! He should have shone more.. seriously!

3. Rosalie was supposed to be gorgeous, actually they all were.

4. When Edward said "I like watching you sleep. It fascinates me", it sounded psycho-ish in the movie than in the book.

5. The place where Bella and Edward laid in the forest (where he showed Bella what happens under the sunlight)... was supposed to be more beautiful than that. Much more!

I don't know... maybe I was comparing the movie and the book too much. Or maybe it's just the book... Everything was really exaggerated. From hers and his feelings, to the places they went, to the things they did... everything seemed more than what was shown in the movie. I guess that's the power of a book. The things you can do with words.

Oh well.... I guess it's a reasonably good first movie. It had to drag to introduce everyone and everything. I'm looking forward for the fourth movie mostly.

Shout out to Hadi:

Happy Birthday Had. Tua sudah, 23!! Hahaha.

It's almost 3am, no wonder I'm sleepy. Goodnight everybody.

P/s: Happy 79mnths Chubbs <3

Back for Good.

I'm backkk!! FINALLY!

Was supposed to be back a day earlier, but we were waitlisted as the flight was full. And that my mom and sisters were on staff ticket. So, we were stranded again for another day.... AGAIN! But it's all good... one more day of shopping in the city. Although, we didn't know what else to buy. Haha.

Oh, and my shipment boxes have arrived. Hakeem came and collected his, just under 10 minutes ago, after he had our breakfast at CA Mohd earlier. I think I'm still jetlagged... I woke up at 8.30am this morning, which was technically 10.30am in Aussie. I'm thinking of staying to this routine, so I'll get more hours in a day. And more productive activities done in a day.. like cleaning up my room and finally getting rid of ALL the boxes. Clearing up my closet, and give my old clothes to charity. My main project (during the period of my unemployment days.. or months.. haha) is to fix up the room downstairs and make it our music room. 3 guitars, a piano, record player and my retro old-school mic.

I want to watch Twilight today. And maybe 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'... but I heard reviews are really bad for that one. Low budget-ish. I have to catch up on my movies.. seriously. I miss Cineworld already! Nyehhhh.

My first attempt at bodyboarding. More like an asian drowning. Wahahhahahahhahahhaa!!!

Goodbye Brisbane. Goodbye Holiday.

My last day in Brisbane. It's been oh-so-awesome. But now.. I think I'm ready to go back home. I feel like I've been away for so long, that I'm longing for home atmosphere. Although, I doubt it would be filled with any productive activities. My first priority is to watch 'Twilight'. I've heard mixed reviews from a lot of people. Those who have read the book thought it was a bit disappointing, pretty much what you'd expect when you compare it with the book. Those who have not read it thought it was awesome. But BOTH thought Robert Pattinson (Edward) is hot. Hahaha. Can't believe that was Cedric Diggory.

I guess Brisbane is the holiday that I needed before work life. I don't actually know if I'm ready for that. I guess no one is ever ready for that kind of transition. Main motivation right now is to earn my own money and see what I can actually do with it. Hehe.

I have no idea what I'm going to do for new year's and for my birthday. Probably just something subtle. Like getting a new car. Hahhahaha.

G'day Mate!

Greetings all the way from Brisbane, Australia!!

It's my sixth day today. And I'm having quite a blast. Let's see.... Beaches, Goldcoast, Markets, Kebab, Churros, Wicked Bananas, Swimming, Bodyboarding, Coldrocks and Shopping. Yup, I've got and done pretty much what I came for.

It's so beautiful here, especially where my Aunt is staying (Southbank). I can imagine living here, with the sun out and all. Even at night, it's so serene. I could just lay down on the grass and stare at the awesome view of the city from here. It's awesome. There was this one place where my Aunt brought us, 'Mount Coot-tha', you can view the whole city from there. We went there late at night, it was just so pretty. Such a contrast to dull winter in UK. Hahha. I can't believe I was just in UK a week ago. Shucks.

Okay, I was going to upload pictures. But let's leave it to next time. Maybe just a couple of pictures on Mount Coot-tha.

Oh, and we went to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary yesterday, mostly for the Koala and the Aboriginal Dance Show. That was cool. I want to learn surfing... BUT woman problems. Nyehhhh.

Ok, till then.

Bon Voyage Caerdydd

A little something from my last day in Cardiff (Picture below). It was such a bittersweet feeling. It was so emotional, seriously! Tapi it was probably just me with the waterworks. Hehehe. I miss everyone already.

Specs

Hehehe. We had a small dinner gathering. And I asked everyone to wear my new specs. Sekali.. semua orang saiz pakai!

Anyhoo... yes, I'm back in Brunei for good. But as of tomorrow noon until 17th December (insyAllah), I'll be in Brisbane. The rest of the family are already there. Aimi and I are home alone at the moment. Partayyyy. Hahahhaha. Kami K.O. berabis and you want to know why???

We were supposed to arrive yesterday, supposed to be in Brisbane already!! BUT.... the damn flight from London was cancelled!! Nyehhhh. One day less in Brisbane. Inda pa2 lah.. asal ke sana! hehehhe :D

Okay, im tired. I'll write a proper post next time.

I miss the posse already. Baz, Jem, Farid, Lina, Faye and Umie..... *hugs*

FINISHED!!

It is 6.30AM and I have been waiting for my file to finish uploading onto my e-mail. If not, I would be done with my dissertation by now! Well, off to binding of course.

Oh gosh.... I've forgotten how it feels like to wake up in the morning and NOT worry about the dissertation!

I. AM. DONE!!

I will celebrate tomorrow... actually, later. Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be totally free after this, and I'm going back to Brunei for good in 4 days!

Oh come on... attach already! I am sleepy. This may take a while *sigh*

So long British Weather

Ok, this is too much for me to take in - This is my last 2 weeks (15 days to be exact!) of being a student in UK. Well, unless murah rezeki to do my PHD in the future... not anytime soon though. I'm exhausted. Time to earn money for myself and the family. Wow, 4 years of my life in Cardiff. It sure has been amazing, but gosh, 4 years! I'm pretty sure I'm going to miss every bits of it. From Llantrissant street to May street to Miskin Street. From Engineering years to Eco-Hippy years. What a change everything has been. Don't worry, I'll most probably come back here for Aimi's graduation, insyAllah.. and will definitely come down to Cardiff again. 4 years of Welsh atmosphere and still not enough huh? Haha.

I'm not ready to say goodbye yet. Although, I'm more than ready to say goodbye to this endless dissertation of mine. NEVER ENDING BERABIS!! Just can't wait to get it over and done with!!!!!

Saya di Bradford at the moment. Aimi's housemates have been quite awesome. I still haven't gone to the city but i've eaten subway halal!! How more convenient can it get - Subway HALAL infront of the Uni!

I'm going back to Cardiff on the 26th. I hope to hand in my work tarus. So I can enjoy my last days of Miskin Madness. 29th is BDSSW Ice Skating gathering, can't wait for that. More motivation to finish off this work.

And on that note, back to work. Aimi's in Uni at the moment until 3pm.

Pictures to end this quite depressing post.

Manchester

Hello everyone!

I'm in Manchester right now at Aunty Nong's. All the Poojas were here last weekend, it was awesome. I've missed them a lot and it felt so great to be around them after so long. Aimi, Azam, Aiman, Farah, Suria, Jem and Limin were here. 12 people under one roof, how 'Lambak'. Hehehe.

It was pretty much a fun-filled weekend, comprising of awesome FOOD, Guitar Hero World Tour and Shopping! If only I was as carefree as we were once, it would have been more awesome. I am still stuck with my dissertation. I want to say I'm finished, but I'm not. On the process? Yes. Close? Pretty much. But what's left are all the tedious bits and pieces of the dissertation. It's not fun... at all! It's okay, I will be done in just over 2 weeks. Eeeek!

Pictures up next time. I still have to upload them into my laptop.

Bah. I should go dulu.

Saturday 8 November 2008

Back in Caerdydd

Hello!

I'm back in Cardiff. Staying over at Miskin Street. It feels different, but everything is the same. Probably the fact that I don't have a room explains much of that difference. It's all good, I spend my nights with Bajizzles ;) Hahahah!

I'm currently in hardcore work mode. I will try my best to finish my dissertation write up before I go off to Manchester next weekend. Everyone's going over to Aunty Nong's place on the 14th. I can't wait! So that's my main motivation: to finish my work or I won't be going. (Although I already bought the ticket HAHA).

I've eaten at Minuet twice now, in a week. And Umie's coming later from Newcastle and she wants to eat at Minuet before she goes off on Tuesday. More minuet!! :D That's where I mostly spend. Kind of financially constraint right now.. my allowance balum lagi ada!! But they've got the approval and HOPEFULLY I'll get my allowance next week. AMIN!!! Or not I'll starve to death. Sudahtah homeless. Hahaha.

Oh man, I can't wait for 'Twilight' the movie to come out. I want to watch it so badly! I've just finished the last book of the saga. It was really... erm... interesting. Makes you rethink the whole classic vampire and werewolves myth. Although...... ONE vampires and werewolves are not real! Hahaha.

Bah... back to work!! :)

Congratulation graduates!

It's a nice break from all the rain. Up until two days ago, it has been raining non-stop in Brunei. It has been very cold, especially during the nights. This ought to get me ready for winter once I go back to UK. It's only a few days til I fly off, yet I still have not received my allowance for this one. So, if I won't be receiving anything by Monday, I am dead broke and you will all see me sleeping under a bridge. Hahaha.

I have just finished reading 'Eclipse', the third book of the Twilight sequel. This was better than the second book, but not enough to beat the first one. I still liked the first one, it sort of makes you feel like you're Bella Swan from the book. Second book onwards, I found myself wanting to skip through all Bella's thoughts and words. And skipping to the next conversation with anyone! Hahaha. They're good, nonetheless. I have the final book with me, but should probably leave it til after I rid myself of the guilt for slacking off my dissertation work. Nyeh. Oh, I should thank Hakeem for getting me the books when he was in UK. Told him to get me the next book after Twilight saja, and he ended up buying me the whole set. Keke. Thanks babe! <3

To my poojas in UK: I'm thinking Aunty Nong's place on the 14th-16th weekend. I'm certainly up for meeting you all there!

And before I go, leaving you with this pointless blog, I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to all my friends in UBD who will be graduating tomorrow morning. I'm honestly proud of you all. And have a blast tomorrow! It's one of those days that'll make it to the top ten best days of your life list. Make full use of it, and be sure to take tonnes of pictures. I'll be infront of the tv waiting for all your names to be called out. HEHE.

Toodles~

New HP

Let me just say that....

I am the first person to purchase the new edition of HP Pavilion DV4 series in Brunei (at least the saleman told me so hehe). They just got their stock yesterday, and I booked it earlier in the week. So weee..... first person in Brunei... and new laptop which is awesome. 4.0GB Ram, 250GB HD and 2.26GHz :D

Bah.. laters. Hahaha

Tuesday 14 October 2008

On a Tuesday afternoon...

.... I am home, procrastinating myself from doing my dissertation. Haha.

Had lunch out with the parents earlier and decided to pick up sister Zara tarus. But in between that, I had an hour to kill. I basically went around Gadong and Kiulap to search for more computer shops to survey more laptops. I think I've finalised my decision on an HP. But we'll see by the end of today. Lets hope I can get one before I fly off (for the last time!!) next month :D

I'm trying to stick to my "strict" schedule on when I should finish my work. I even moved a study desk in my room, and properly set out the table supaya ada mood buat keraja. Oh santy, just get it over and done with will you!!!!

On a different note, I've started reading 'Twilight' by Stephenie Meyer. Just to see what the buzz was all about. My sister and cousins seem to be obsessed with the book, especially with the movie coming out. I'm only on page 33, so I doubt I've touched on anything interesting just yet. But the thought of weird, rich and pale-yet-good-looking bunch of people sure attracts me. Vampires of course.

[[That was suppose to be posted earlier in the mid afternoon, before Zara came in my room and said my EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE IS NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!]]

So the rest of afternoon was spent of fixing the external harddrive....to no avail!!! Oh pictures... all those memories!! SUGISHGFDSGNFSGUSGNBSG!!!!!! I hope all the pictures can be extracted. I really hope so. Kalau inda, no more laughing our asses off at how chawieeeeeeeee we were dulu. Hahhahaha.I've only some pictures in this laptop. Oh man, this sucks! *breatthheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

Anyways.... I've been wanting to post this. Dk Aeesya Kumaira. Latest addition to the family :)

...Continuation

Wow. It's already the 11th Day of Raya. Yesterday wasn't much of a raya day, but I had fun going out with some friends. Had lunch with Dani, Feesh, Azhim, Hani and Belle. Then Azhim accompanied me to survey laptops. (Thanks zim!) Oh, did I mention my 4 yr old laptop is on the verge of breaking down? The LCD is crap now, lines running down the screen from top to bottom. And the charger port is totally messed up. If I move it a bit, the whole laptop shuts down. Haha. So right now, I'm torn between a HP Pavilion DV1035 and a Dell Vostro 1200. Although, I might also consider a Dell XPS M1330. Help???!? Hehe. If I was done with my dissertation, I wouldn't be so bothered about buying a new laptop A.S.A.P. Nyeh. Lets not dwell on that hehe.

Anyways, lets continue with Raya Photos...

Second Day of Raya:-

Sent Hakeem and the Family off at the airport. Then Hakeem's aunts bawa minum at the Airport restaurant. The rest of the day was spent in Lambak again. And ended the day by convoying to other relatives' houses, including Aunty Hajah's and Aunty Zainab's houses.

Third Day of Raya:-

Open house at Uncle Alias. Then joined Hadi and the others to Airul's house in Manggis. Then went back to Lambak, before I joined Azhim at Tuty's house in Lambak. And later that night, to Bilah's open house and rushed back home to join the family beraya to friends' houses. It was raining HEAVILY that night!! And freaking hot during the day. Didn't take lots of pictures today. Was rushing here and there.

Fourth day of Raya:-

This day was spent in Belait. Went to Farah's open house in Tunggulian, which is about 45minutes from my place. Whilst we were stuffing our face with food in TungTung, apparently there was an accident that caused a horrible traffic for people going from Seria to Bandar... and Bandar to Seria. We dropped by Nini Bungsu's place in Anduki, thinking the traffic would ease off by the time we finished. Tapi masih lagi! The traffic continued from the Anduki junction alllllllllll the way to Tutong. If I got the story right, there were 3 accidents (at different places along the way). And I had to hold my pee for 2 hours! Gilaaa. I slept it off in order to not think about it. Hahahaha. I hope those involved in the accidents are alright though.
