Wow. It's already the 11th Day of Raya. Yesterday wasn't much of a raya day, but I had fun going out with some friends. Had lunch with Dani, Feesh, Azhim, Hani and Belle. Then Azhim accompanied me to survey laptops. (Thanks zim!) Oh, did I mention my 4 yr old laptop is on the verge of breaking down? The LCD is crap now, lines running down the screen from top to bottom. And the charger port is totally messed up. If I move it a bit, the whole laptop shuts down. Haha. So right now, I'm torn between a HP Pavilion DV1035 and a Dell Vostro 1200. Although, I might also consider a Dell XPS M1330. Help???!? Hehe. If I was done with my dissertation, I wouldn't be so bothered about buying a new laptop A.S.A.P. Nyeh. Lets not dwell on that hehe.

Anyways, lets continue with Raya Photos...

 

Second Day of Raya:-

Sent Hakeem and the Family off at the airport. Then Hakeem's aunts bawa minum at the Airport restaurant. The rest of the day was spent in Lambak again. And ended the day by convoying to other relatives' houses, including Aunty Hajah's and Aunty Zainab's houses.

 

 

 

Third Day of Raya:-

Open house at Uncle Alias. Then joined Hadi and the others to Airul's house in Manggis. Then went back to Lambak, before I joined Azhim at Tuty's house in Lambak. And later that night, to Bilah's open house and rushed back home to join the family beraya to friends' houses. It was raining HEAVILY that night!! And freaking hot during the day. Didn't take lots of pictures today. Was rushing here and there.

 

 

Fourth day of Raya:-

This day was spent in Belait. Went to Farah's open house in Tunggulian, which is about 45minutes from my place. Whilst we were stuffing our face with food in TungTung, apparently there was an accident that caused a horrible traffic for people going from Seria to Bandar... and Bandar to Seria. We dropped by Nini Bungsu's place in Anduki, thinking the traffic would ease off by the time we finished. Tapi masih lagi! The traffic continued from the Anduki junction alllllllllll the way to Tutong. If I got the story right, there were 3 accidents (at different places along the way). And I had to hold my pee for 2 hours! Gilaaa. I slept it off in order to not think about it. Hahahaha. I hope those involved in the accidents are alright though.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI TO ALL MUSLIMIN & MUSLIMAT!

 

I don't think I've properly greet everybody a hari raya. So there you go :)

First in four years. Wow, it sure is nostalgic even when things are a bit different from what I remember four years ago. It felt different..... awesome nonetheless. I really don't know how to describe the feeling and the raya atmosphere this time, but it sure feels good to be back. Missing a few poojas: Aimi, Suria, Jem, Azam and Aiman. And Farah just went back 2 days ago. Speaking of which, shout out to the birthday poojas:

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO AIMAN AND FARAH!!! 5th and 8th October respectively.

Families and Friends are still having open houses, probably until next week. Lets recap the first week of raya shall we?

 

The eve of Raya, as usual, was spent in Lambak. It was fun fixing up Lambak. Cutting and arranging the cakes. Even the little ones were eager to help out.

 

 

 

The FIRST DAY OF RAYA: Went to Kubur early in the morning as per tradition. Then head back home to look awesome, before going to Lambak to meet everybody. Went to visit Uncle Abang with the rest of mummy's side at ilmullah Nini's place. Most of us have not gone there eversince she passed away, and my mom took it the hardest. I'm proud of her though, to be able to gather that strength to go there still. *hugs* Spent the rest of the day in Lambak at Babu's, and after Maghrib barutah we started convoy-ing to other relatives' houses. And I DROVE! So did Farah, who got sasat in Subok when we were all in Kota Batu! HAHAHA :P

Home Schweet Home

Im back!

..... again.... hehe

I arrived yesterday morning. I've never been as tired as I was by the end of yesterday. Although, I had the chance to meet most of my puja's last night when we went sungkai at Jerudong Polo Club. Then today, it was my first sungkai in Lambak after four years. What was great was the fact that nothing has changed. Still too much food and kuih. Haha. Walaupun banyak food, we still managed to go to Excapade in Serusop. We being Farah, Dani, Nadi, Baz and I. And Easyway of course. Sekali kami main badil di Jalan Bedil.... wawawawawaaaaa.

I'm pretty excited about Raya. I actually can't wait for the whole 'fixing up Lambak' thing. I still haven't bought raya shoes/slippers. I'll probably just end up wearing old ones.

One week

Wow. I am having a hectic HECTIC week. I have it all planned out in my planner, its dang full. But I'm happy that it involves some retail therapy hehehe. One week til Brunei :) weeeeeeeeeeee! Met up with my supervisor today. Random: Taught him how to use skype HAHA. Then went to watch Tropic Thunder. Did NOT realise that was Tom Cruise until Baz pointed it out! Hehehe.

Another random miskin: Someone bell-ed us at 4AM when we were about to have our sahur. Lina almost opened the door until we told her not to. Then we switched off all the lights. Mana ketara! HAHA. I was damn curious though. But glad that we didnt open the door. I think that person was drunk and at the wrong house.

Me and the machine started packing our stuff today. My room feels so bare, it saddened me a bit. I'm moving out of miskin street booohooooohooooo. I'm coming back in November though, to finish up my dissertation. Did I mention my submission date has been moved to 3rd December? Yeap, I have time.

You know what I miss least about raya? Having to buy new shoes and begs. I almost forgot all these little things I have to do for Raya. Its too much effort, time and money.. which I don't have. Hehhe.

I haven't been online in a long while. Even if i do, it's only for a while. My laptop is a bit messed up. So i couldnt be bothered. I just use hakeem's laptop if I have anything to do.

Anyhoo.... I'm gona go. One week my pujas :)
