A month of Fasting begins!

It's the second day of Ramadhan already. It has been good, better than I expected. Although, our pipe in our kitchen, under the sink, is leaking again. Our landlord said he would be coming sometime today with the plumber. It's almost 11pm and no sign of a fixed pipe!!

Me, Hakeem and Baz went to IKEA yesterday afternoon. If we didn't restrain ourselves, I swear we were going to buy everything there! Hahaha. We ended up buying plants. I love mine! I bought it for our living room. Give it some life. HEHE.

HAHA! Me and Baz bought the same hippos from IKEA. The rat was just to scare Farid, which didn't work at all! HAHAHA

One of those days

I finally watched 'Get Smart' yesterday with Hakeem, Baz and Farid. It was unexpectedly hilarious, although some lame lines.. but definitely funny. And Anne Hathaway is beautiful. We had a nice day out yesterday, although it was raining ... again! We ate at minuet around 2pm. We met Andreas and eventhough we haven't met him for a longgg while... he still remembered us. And he remembered that we went to Rome and haven't met us ever since that. Wow.. that was really a while back!

Back home, I finally got around to make mummy's 'Kari Laksa'. Nyum!!! Tapi nada greens and chilli. But all is good. Nyaman macam this laksa i ate at a restaurant in Leeds called 'Tampopo'. I don't have to go there anymore! HEHE.

I wanted to take pretty pictures yesterday. But weather did not permit. So I'll leave you with these pictures of the past couple of weeks i've been back :)

It's just me and Baz in the living room right now. Farid went to bed already. Hakeem went to Leeds to hand-in his dissertation. Siukkk!!! He only has to do half the amount of words I have to do! Unfair! =P

I should go to bed now. My mind isn't working as well at this hour. Another day of sitting infront of the laptop tomorrow. Oh, the eye strain! Lets get this over and done with, shall we? So I can start shopping as soon as possible. HEHE.

Goodnight world. Lets hope for a sunny day tomorrow. I need to buy ink and paper in town.

Too much

So the olympics came to a close. No more fighting over the remote. Hehehe. Even watching the closing ceremony tadi .. we were fighting over the remote. Who in their right mind would schedule a formula one race at the same time with the Olympics closing ceremony?! Nyehhhh.

Work has been... erm.. progressing. At least i feel good about it now =D But sleep hasn't been proper. I even dreamt about meeting my supervisor and him approving my work before i get it bind. Tsk tsk tsk. Oh speaking of which, one of my dreams last night made me feel great waking up. Although, I went back to sleep right after =P

In the dream, I was supposedly in Africa doing some charity work. During that time, there was a spread of disease and I was helping the people there get their injections before they get infected or something. Then there was this two year old (i assume) who caught my heart. He was all smily and so attached to me. Fast forward my dream - I went to adopt the kid and brought him back to Brunei. I remember waking up thinking - whoa, I did a Jolie. Haha. The feeling was nice. I've actually wanted to do this sort of thing. No, not to have a kid! I want to help the not so fortunate ones. Maybe my subconcious mind is telling me to just go for it. Well, maybe when I have the time and ability to actually help them. Karang I'll be helping them, when I can't even help myself! Hahaha.

I think i should think about my work now. I already have tonnes in my head. I only have about a month left in Cardiff. I have to think about when to actually go back home, when to ship my things bla bla bla. I told myself to think about these things AFTER im done with my dissertation, but then I'll be handing in my work on the 15th Sept most probably. And that doesnt give me much time to think about these things. SHOPPING lagi!?! Hahahaha.

Bah.. bah.. lets go back and do more work shall we? :D


Oh, and i'm thinking about buying Canon Speedlite Flash 580EX II..... hmmmm?

Power up!

Hakeem, Farid, Baz and I are playing DragonballZ on Farid's wii right now. Kami semua mental main, but it's fun. Haha. Oh and Baz is back! Weeee! Although she lied to us and said she'll be arriving tomorrow!! Tapi inda pa2.... another girl in the house! HEHE. It's a good day today. I handed in my essay, Farid felt good about his exam and Baz is back! :D Now all that's left is my dissertation. My supervisor is still away on holiday.. so that should give me time to write up at least 2 chapters. Gah! I need a day without thinking about any work at all!

Uni work aside, it has been pretty sunny the past few days. But it's still freaking cold! I don't understand how this is summer. British weather tah banar! The flowers have bloomed though and they look really pretty. Took this on my way to the library. Oh btw, I brought my dad's Canon EOS400D.. so be expecting pictures from time to time ;D

I miss Brunei already, and it has only been 8 days. I miss gym-murtabak sessions. Haha. I bought a gym ball to do some daily situps. It arrived 3 days ago and I haven't even tried it. Sitting and bouncing on it doesn't count rite? HAHA.

I've been wanting to blog since this morning, but now I have nothing interesting to say. OH except... Sungkai in Ramadhan here is at 7.59 pm. And sahur ends before 4am :S

Back in Caerdydd

Decided to change my layout yet again. I love my layout for my previous blog so much that i can't seem to find anything similar or better even. So i think im settling for this, something simple and easy. Hehe.

Oh btw, I'm back in Cardiff (For the last time, i hope!). Miskin home somehow feels different, but everything is still the same. It's probably because it's much quieter. It's just me, Hakeem and Farid. Baz should be arriving next week or so. Weee!

I should be studying. I have an exam in 2 days :S And im still jetlagged. Nyeh!! Bah, laters.

Burning!

As much as I don't want to start another post with "Wow.. it has been a while since i last post...", I really haven't been blogging.. although I keep opening the posting page, ending up closing it again. Can't say I've been busy. Busy bumming .. maybe. HEHE. BUT, i keep trying to start on my dissertation. I've got enough sources and information, I just can't get myself to start. I think I left my mojo back in Cardiff. Nyeh!

Btw, going back to my previous post. Lovely Bazilah brought my stylus back and singgahkan to my house. Only to find out that we bought the wrong one!!! Gahhhhh. How disappointed were we!?! So, we went and bought a new one, which should arrive next week with Aunty Nong :D I hope it'll fit this time! Really want that record player to start singing!

I got my results already. Alhamdullilah I passed all my 2nd semester modules. Unfortunately, they couldn't come around and give me just 3 more points for me to pass my Environmental Policy module, which i failed the first semester. GAH! 3 more freaking percent!! But oh well.... lets see how this goes. My worry is coming back for Raya really. Ive already started buying my kain for raya. Hehe. I asked my course director about the whole thing.. he's yet to reply. Nyehhhhhh.

I can't believe Im going back in less than 2 weeks! A month sudah i've been back. Im proud to say that i've been productive... most times. Heheh. Speaking of which..... FARID... if you're reading..... you want anything from Brunei???

Bah, i should go and take a shower now. Its freaking PANAS!
